When I met Steve, it was to do the photos for the article.  He came over to my home in Weymouth and we got on immediately!

Only today I received my iPhone4 and am amazed at just how excited one can get!  I mean I am 40 years old and been buying mobile phones for around 10 years now.  Yet, this particular phone seems to be the crème de la crème (in my opinion).

With the Siri we can now “ASK” our phones to make a call for us, we can ask it to respond to text messages and get directions when we are in the car or simply walking in a new town.

But, I am not going to claim that I know all the technical stuff about the phone so I thought I would share this fab site I found when I was researching the phone.  TechRepublic reviews the phones from a business prospective and have some really easy to follow tips and guides on getting the most out of your phones.

What an amazingly successful day for Avon cosmetics.

I personally met some of the most beautiful brides to be and shared some lovely ideas for their wedding day.  Avon was at the exhibition to offer “Pamper Nights” and an opportunity to Earn More Money to help the brides pay for their extra special wedding day.  With over 170 women filling in the FREE Prize Draw and over 60 women wanting to know more about a pamper evening the day was a blast.

The Avon stand was also a highlight to the Weymouth Wedding Fayre with many women loving our display and friendliness to share ideas and help them achieve the wedding day of their dreams by showing them the easy and fast way to earn extra money by joining Avon too.  We had over 20 women that would love to join Avon and become an independent Avon Representative so they can make their wedding day the best it can be.  And all that are recruited from the event will receive a FREE Managers special gift, the Anew skin care pack worth over £30 or the Scentsi’s perfumes of their choice.

So what is your situation right now?  Are you like most mum’s that simply want to be at home with their families and earn enough to do it with ease.  Well this little article may help you.

First of all you are not alone!.  The UK is full of women and mothers like you that need a little support to make that initial step into becoming self employed, independent business women.

Being a “Work from home mum” myself I think I may be able to help you.  Along with this forum for Working mum’s and the book I wrote Mum’s The Word for women and mum’s in business there is plenty of information already at your finger tips.  But I would like to make this blog a practical one for women and mothers that are thinking of returning to work in 2012.  Here are a few things to consider

Thinking of working from your home

• What type of business would you have a passion for?.. Party Plan perhaps, or Leadership maybe your calling, how about On-Line business opportunities?
• How much time do you have to commit to your at home business? You will need between 6 and 60 hours a week to really make a business work for you from home.
• What space to do have in your home that will allow you to “Work From Home“, I used to work from the Utility room!..A 5ft by 6ft space that had a freezer, a desk, a PC and telephone in it!
• What knowledge do you have in the business you wish to make? if it is limited, that’s ok, simply research what you want to do (search engines have unlimited access to the information you may be looking for)
• Could you get child care if necessary? Family members and friends are their to help so don’t be shy in asking.  Also check out the local Child Minders for that one on one with your baby’s needs whilst you are working from home.
• Don’t think about what you don’t have, think about what you do have and use that in your business building venture.
• Create a Planner for family time and work time.
• Tell everyone you know what you are doing and simply “Go For It” your family is worth it.
• The last point I would like to make is to always remember “WHY” you have chose to stay at home with your family rather than going back to work for someone else.  Especially when the going gets tough!

Change is an inevitable part of life and business

Change of economy, personal circumstances, income and lifestyle is around the corner and at every turn for every man woman and child.  No One can evade the inevitability of change .  So, part of my latest motivational talk was about my personal changes in my life and business and how I managed to cope with the Up’s and Downs of them.  More importantly how I never ever let the down times of change keep me down for long!

7 Tips on dealing with change in business

1.  Take time to deal with the change before you decide which is the best way forward
2. Once you accept the change things can begin to move in the right direction
3. Start by writing down your ideas for dealing with the change
4. Discuss your ideas with others, even those that are outside the situation and change in itself (others may have valuable advice)
5. Don’t over react or react too slow.  Action is the key to resolving your change
6. Once your decision is made always remain positive about your choice and remain focused on your end goal
7. Always keep your eye on the “Bigger Picture”

Plan your changes once you have accepted them, and you will be amazed at how change can actually become a benefit for you and your business.

Here is a simple How To Guide on ordering your brochures so they become cost effective and you don’t end up throwing your money ( Avon brochures) in the bin!

Planning your Avon Brochure order

1. Plan the time you have to recruit for the next campaign

2. Calculate how many new team members you can generate and recruit within your time limit

3. Now you know exactly how much time and many new recruits you plan to appoint the ordering of your Avon Brochures is simple.

4.  Multiply the amount of people you intend on recruiting for the next campaign by 4 pks of Avon Brochures each (accumulating 20 brochures for their current campaign and their next campaigns brochures) and order the exact amount of appointing packs too.

Example:

You intend to recruit 6 new people in the next campaign

You need 24 packs of the campaign you will be recruiting them into and 24 packs of the next campaign to.

You will also need 6 x Appointing packs too!

Well done, you should now be able to order the appropriate amount of brochures each campaign so you are not left with Throwing your Money (Avon Brochures) in the bin!

But, that isn’t it!…

Here is a way to recycle your expired Avon Brochures…

Simply design your own or print out mine.  Below is a leaflet that states the Avon brochure has indeed Expired and by stapling it to the front of the brochure you can generate leads from your expired brochures rather than throwing them away in the bin!

The best bit about this is that you don’t have to pick up the brochures, you simply post them through doors and wait for the phone to ring, otherwise the person within the home will recycle the brochure themselves.  Fab ehy!
